Supporting Cast

Celeste Whitmore

Head of Whitmore Strategic Advisory

Celeste appears in correspondence from Renee’s earlier professional life and later names Mercer Hayes Creative as a client of her advisory firm. Renee remembers Celeste asking whether she was sure about leaving Atlanta. Toxic Loyalty — Celeste wants an engagement that will strengthen her advisory firm and give Nia a larger role. Her knowledge of the old meeting and her impulse to manage how Renee’s involvement is described put present business and past conduct in the same room.
